Pastor's Praise Report

By Joel A. McNabb

All glory and praise to the great and almighty God of the universe.  May His name be praised in all the earth. Greetings to all of the wonderful saints throughout His creation from the saints here in Tulsa, OK.

As pastor here, it was a great honor this past weekend, 12/14-17/06, to have our prime minister Eldon McNabb and his wife Zena, (who happen to be my parents) visit us.  It also was my privilege and honor that our dear friend and brother in the Lord from India Pastor Philip Thomas came with them.

Their presence was a tremendous blessing to the saints here. God moved in a mighty way throughout the extended weekend. The Bible studies seemed to be nonstop from their arrival until their departure, and lives were touched in so many miraculous ways by God’s holy word.

The weekend climaxed at Sunday’s service.  We presented a King James bible to Donnie Briggs, the owner of Briggs Construction and Building (where we are having our worship services), for his generosity towards The People of Truth here in Tulsa.

We were also blessed with a newborn in the congregation.  Eric and Jamie Ketcherside asked for us to give a blessing on their baby, Natalie Elizabeth.

The service concluded with a powerful message from Bro. McNabb on Matthew chapter 11.  Eyes and ears were opened to God’s word as it poured out of this vessel of the Lord.  We did not want them to leave, and are awaiting their next visit here.  I know the Lord will reward their faithfulness to His work.

The Lord also prompted me to make my first appointment as pastor here.  By inspiration from the Father in heaven, I placed our brother Thomas Smith as our youth pastor.  Bro. Thomas said that just one week before he was speaking to his wife Traci about how he had worked with the Boy Scouts, and would love to work with the youth for the Lord.  This confirmed to me, him, and even his wife that  this was the Lord’s will.  Praise the Lord for his many blessings to us.  May God lead Bro. Thomas as he applies himself to this work.

Keep us in your prayers as we endeavor to be faithful to do His will. May the Lord bless you is my prayer.
