Church court rebukes minister

BLUE ASH, Ohio - Officials of the Presbyterian Church (USA) found Rev. Stephen Van Kuiken guilty of marrying same-sex couples, a violation of church law.

The court rebuked the minister, but neither suspended him nor removed him from ministry. He was also acquitted of a second charge of ordaining homosexuals not adhering to the Presbyterian chastity requirement. Van Kuiken, 44, a Cincinnati pastor acknowledge performing the ceremonies and ordaining homosexuals.
